A 45-year-old Huntingdale man has been arrested in Moss Street, Huntingdale overnight following a string of incidents during the afternoon and evening yesterday.

On September 6, it has been alleged that he first went to an address in Jubilee Street, Beckenham and caused damage.

About two hours later it is alleged that he attended another address in Barkley Loop, Canning Vale whilst armed with a firearm.

Shortly afterwards it is alleged the man was involved in a road rage offence where he repeatedly rammed a car stopped at a roundabout.

At about 7.00pm a loud noise, like a gunshot, was heard in the vicinity of Moss Street, Huntingdale.

Responding police stopping nearby allegedly heard the man’s raised voice and a police dog was deployed.

After a short confrontation with officers the man was tasered and arrested.

A search of a nearby house allegedly located a sawn off 12 gauge shotgun and about 35 shotgun shells.

The man has been charged with possessing a firearm with circumstances of aggravation (altered) and Endanger life, health or safety of a person.

The man’s bail was refused and he is due to appear in court this morning.
