A Thornlie resident, whose party was deemed to be out of control at the weekend and was broken up by police said the police were wrong to be there in the first place.
Paige Lockyear, 19, hosted two parties with about 70 people in the backyard of her Bernice Street property last Friday and Saturday.
Widely reported as an out of control gathering Ms Lockyear spoke to The Examiner about what she said really happened.
On September 1 regional operations group and mounted and canine groups arrived at her property about 9.30pm and declared the party out of control.
The same thing happened the next night on September 2 with the Police Airwing attending.
However Ms Lockyear said she had alerted police well in advance of the date but they still arrived to shut it down.
“The police said to us ‘No underage drinking,’ and to shut down the party at midnight,” she said.
“That was not a problem at all and we followed the rules.”
Ms Lockyear has alleged after the police inspected her home at about 9.30pm and were satisfied they arrived in their riot gear and caused a panic a while later.
The party dispersed without incident but Ms Lockyear she thought everything was good.
“We didn’t do anything wrong but suddenly we saw them coming towards us,” she said.
“It was the police that caused the chaos.”
Ms Lockyear said no one threw any bottles at police and she alleged at least five people were tasered.
She also said she had video footage of curious party goers wondering what was going on but nothing to suggest a wild out of control gathering.
“The police broke down our door and damaged it when they came into our house,” she said.
“They also damaged our fence and now we have to use a cord to keep the gate shut and the dog in.”
Police said no arrests were made and the occupants of the house were assisting them with enquiries.
Although they declined to comment on the allegations made against them by Ms Lockyear police have confirmed no tasers were deployed.
Ms Lockyear said the party was civil and no police involvement was required.
