Former Fremantle Football Club player Shane Yarran has died in his Seville Grove home.
He was 29 years old.
According to media reports Mr Yarran was found by police at his Seville Grove home on Friday afternoon.
West Australian Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
Mr Yarran was once a highly rated debutant for The Dockers, but played only six matches with the side before off-field incidents cut his football career short.
He had been involved in incidents including a high speed chase with police, trespassing and a disorderly conduct incident in Leederville in 2016.
He officially retired from AFL football at the end of that year.
