Thornlie Football and Sports Club was packed to the rafters last weekend as punters turned up in droves to see some of the best WA AFL players of yesteryear.
The club hosted a sell-out Western Derby Panel Show which featured retired West Coast Eagles star Andrew Embley as MC alongside special guests Ben Cousins and Roger Hayden.
Retired legends of the game Daniel Kerr, Adam Hunter, Quinten Lynch, Ryan Crowley and Rhys Palmer stepped in as panel speakers, as 180 fans asked questions of the former talents.
Thornlie Football and Sports Club chairman of directors Wayne Barrett said the fundraiser was held to help with the establishment of a youth development squad for next season.
“We had great feedback with plenty of positive comments and we are looking forward to putting on plenty more events in 2019,” he said.
