Bret Lindsay Capper led police on a chase through Armadale suburbs early this morning.

The manhunt for Bret Lindsay Capper moved to Armadale early this morning after police found his stolen Toyota Landcruiser dumped on Stepney Road following a police chase through the suburbs and along Tonkin and South Western Highways.

Police were still searching for Mr Capper, 42, who was wanted in relation to several armed robberies over the past week.

At about 2.35am today police sighted his recently stolen Landcruiser on Henderson Road in Seville Grove.

The vehicle evaded police through a number of streets in Seville Grove, Champion Lakes, Brookdale and Wungong, including Tonkin Highway and South West Highway.

Police continued to follow the car through Byford but lost sight of it as it travelled south along South West Highway.

Police later found the four wheel drive on Stepney Road and were currently in the area conducting further inquiries.

Bret Lindsay Capper, known as the Porsche kid for his involvement in luxury vehicle thefts almost two decades ago, was described as 180cm tall with a medium build, blonde hair and hazel eyes.

He was wanted for questioning over armed robberies and aggravated burglaries in Willagee, Dawesville, Beechboro and Yangebup over the past week.

Police said he was known to frequent Mandurah, Pinjarra, Bunbury and Australind, but was also believed to be travelling across the Perth metro region.

Members of the public with information regarding his whereabouts, were urged not to approach and instead to call police on 131 444.
