The Keysbrook Community Group will be hosting its version of an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event later this month with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council.

Committee member Judy Hambley said the group, like many others in the community has people dear to them who have suffered from cancer.

“We have always tried to make it a joyous occasion, appreciating life and our friends,” she said.

“It was decided to host it as a Friday evening event to allow the entire family to join in and make it a fun evening.”

Ms Hambley said the group’s first Keysbrook Cuppa Supper event was in 2003 and each year the event attracted dozens of people.

“This year we will be having hamburgers for tea,” she said.

“We always have a silent auction, which we encourage people to donate homemade items or home grown produce and other items are gladly accepted as well.

“There will be a raffle that always has a large number of prizes and we would gladly accept prizes from local businesses that would like to support the event.”

This year’s Keysbrook Cuppa Supper will be held on May 31 from 6pm at the Keysbrook Hall on Elliott Road.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
