Filled with crude humour and many laugh-out-loud moments, Booksmart follows the journey of Molly and Amy’s last night as high school students before their lives change forever.
On the eve of their graduation the two best friends, played by Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever, realise they have wasted their high school years with homework and trying to top their peers’ test results, instead of having fun, pushing the boundaries and creating everlasting memories.
Best compared to comedy classics such as Superbad and more recently Blockers, Booksmart had many in the cinema in fits of laughter, as they watched two easily relatable characters navigate their way through new territory.
Featuring a range of high school cliques including the geeks, the sporty types, the artsy individuals and the popular group, this film had something for everyone.
