A Byford couple is appealing to the public for information in the hopes that their two motorbikes will be returned to them in one piece.
The vehicles were stolen from a shed at a property in Byford on June 27.
Owner Ben Thomson said the thieves came prepared with a cordless grinder to cut the locks.
“I reported it to police straight away and gave them the vehicle identification numbers and put up pictures on social media which led to some suspected sightings in the Armadale area,” he said.
“Police said to me that this type of crime was happening way too much and they said it’s unlikely I’ll get them back.”
Mr Thomson said the motorbikes, an orange and white 2011 KTM 450sxf and a red and white 2006 Honda CRF 150f meant a lot to him and his family and they are offering a substantial reward for information that led to the bikes’ recovery.
“For my partner it was her first bike and we spent a lot of time and money getting it to the condition it was in,” he said.
“We take our kids out riding and spend time together as a family.
“We spend every weekend riding them and I spend every week fixing and servicing the bikes that meant a lot to all of us.”
