A fire destroyed four industrial units in Kelmscott this morning causing about $2 million in damage.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the fire was reported about 5.15am in Hendon Way.
Professional and volunteer firefighters in 10 trucks worked on the blaze, which was brought under control by about 6.15am.
Police also attended and blocked access to Hendon Way.
A neighbouring business owner said the fire appeared to have taken hold quickly.
“It’s usually a pretty quiet street, a lot like any industrial area, there aren’t too many dramas but I think this has ruined a couple of peoples’ days,” he said.
The DFES spokesman said the fire was believed to be accidental but investigations were continuing.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the Hendon Way area around 5.30am this morning.
