Two people have been arrested and charged after police seized a large quantity of cannabis during a search at a property in Armadale last week.

On June 11, Armadale Police executed a search warrant at the property based on intelligence gathered by local officers.

As a result, police located and seized a quantity of drugs, including a number of labelled zip lock bags of cannabis, and several mobile phone devices.

A male and female, both from Armadale, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply.

Inquiries are continuing, with the pair expected to face Armadale Magistrates Court later this month.

Armadale District Police senior sergeant Troy Douglas said police were continually striving to act on intelligence in order to take drugs off the streets and encouraged the public to report suspicious or unlawful activity to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
