Magical Parks combines family interaction and the outside world with technology, allowing children to see animated objects and creatures in real time.
The magical parks app only works within certain boundaries, which creates a safe, kid-friendly experience.
Parents can watch little ones run around the park and the app activates in a certain area to encourage safety.
The Magical Parks experience ends on January 9 but the shire also has an Adventure Quest Car Rally running from January 9 until January 17.
Another app gives children the goal of travelling around the shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale unlocking various tasks such as photographs, questions, clues and video challenges.
Completing tasks results in points.
Using GPS activated and image recognition hotspots, as you arrive these activities unlock and each one has a certain number of points.
