Sorbet social is set to bring a pop of colour to the Perth CBD after a Piara Waters artist was selected to develop a creative design for Raine Square.
Jessica Swan is an artist from Piara Waters and has created life size, multi coloured icy poles for Raine Laine.
Speaking on the topic, Ms Swan said she enjoyed the project.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the creative process of this project, which has been designed to inject a bright burst of joy into our CBD,” she said.
“I’m a Perth girl through and through and I think it’s wonderful Raine Square are giving a local artist like myself the opportunity to showcase my designs for the ‘Social Sorbet’ activation.”
Social Sorbet will take over Raine Square with oversized ice cream art installations, pastel DJ decks spinning relaxed, summery tunes and delicious dessert giveaways.
The project will run from February 23 to March 26 in the heart of the city.
“Perth is known for its iconic summers and given Western Australia’s recent lifting of a COVID-19 lockdown, we’re extending summer for an extra month with a surprise and delight approach for Perth city goers” said Megan Biddle, Marketing Manager at Raine Square.
