Beckenham Fish N Treat have had $80 grand slashed off a massive fine for breaches of the food safety act on appeal.

A Beckenham restaurant has been fined $100,000 for five breaches of the WA Food Act.

Beckenham Fish N Treat, located on Ladywell Street, boasts a 5.3 out of 6 rating on Menulog and a 4.5/5 rating on UberEats, but those ratings didn’t count for much when City of Gosnells inspectors came knocking on August 16, 2021.

The fish and burger specialists were found to have breached regulations in relation to food storage, food processing, cleanliness of the premises and equipment and maintenance of fixtures, fittings and equipment.

The owners, Radianct Holdings Australia, were fined $100,000 for the breaches and ordered to pay court costs of $1790.30.

It is the first conviction in Gosnells since September 15 2019, when Canning Vale’s Sakura Sushi was pinged for the sale of unsuitable food.
