Horrific details of murdered Brookdale mother Nardia Spice’s final moments are emerging following the discovery of her body in bushland in Jarrahdale last Friday.
It is alleged Ms Spice was murdered at a Byford dog park in the early hours of September 23, having been lured there by housemates in a premeditated plot.
Ms Spice’s body was discovered by police in bushland off Ronan Rd in Jarrahdale on Friday, following a missing person’s report made on October 3.
Three people – couple Eve Marsh and Zachariah Dean Brough, along with another man – have been charged with her murder, and a fourth man, Jesse Desmond Jones, has been charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact.
Mr Jones revealed shocking details of Ms Spice’s final moments, telling the court that the mother of six was lured to the park under pretences of sex work, before being struck over the head, her hands bound with cable ties and body wrapped in plastic, before being shoved into the boot of a car and buried within 24 hours of the attack.
The court heard that 26-year-old Jones was unaware of the plot but was threatened by the co-accused to help dispose of the body.
The discovery of Ms Spice’s body on Friday was foreshadowed by alarming Facebook posts on local community pages about a sudden presence of police in the area.
“Cops just flew up the hill from SW Highway. More in distance sound to be heading this way,” one post read.
“There was about 30 cops in overalls this morning about 7.15 up the south west hwy,” one comment read.
“Heaps of cops, forensics, SES down at Yarrabah around 7.45 this morning,” wrote another.
It is not clear whether these sightings are connected to the discovery of Ms Spice’s body, another matter or, as some commenters suggested, were part of an unrelated training exercise.
On Tuesday, a friend of the victim, Sheena Purser created a GoFundMe page to assist with memorial costs for Ms Spice’s children.
“Hi my name is Sheena and I’m trying to raise money for the children and family of Nardia, whose life was recently brutally taken from her,” the page reads.
“I personally knew Nardia as her son is currently living with me and dating my daughter. “Nardia’s children and family are grieving and I hope to be able to help by raising money to assist in memorial costs for her children.”
A friend of Ms Spice described her as “very kind,” and “a great person.”
“She was a very nice person, she was a mum to a lot of us, I feel very sorry for all her daughters and sons,” the friend told media.
