Five members of the Maddington Little Athletics Club recently won medals in the Junior International Tour of Singapore.

They were all in the under 14 and under 15 age group.
Under 14 girl Katica Borsic won two medals: A bronze for the 1500m walk and a silver for the 4 x 400m relay.

Under 15 boy Jesstine Morales won a silver medal for the 1500m walk.

Under 14 boys Trent D’Alessio won a bronze for both the 400m and 100m relays while Trent D’Alessio  won a bronze for the 400m relay

Under 15 boy Wyatt Hill won six medals: bronze 100m hurdles, high jump bronze, 100m bronze 200m hurdles silver, long jump bronze and 4 x 400m relay bronze.

Wyatt also won athlete of the competition for the under 15 boys.
The athletes went away for a five-day tour on July 5 and competed against the kids from Singapore as well as the Malaysian for two days.

The other days they spend exploring Singapore.

They qualified to go to this tour from their results from the WA athletics Championship in March.

The club will start pre-season training again on September 19.
