Matt Hanna set the tone early by taking out both opening batsmen, leaving Gosnells in a tough spot at 2-9.

The Willetton Dragons took on Gosnells at Hola Park, with all four senior sides emerging victorious.

The 1st-grade side lost the toss and was sent into bat on a slow wicket, making batting tough.

The runs were shared with D’Arcy Short, the first to fall for 29, after a strong opening stand with Brock Larance, who fell soon after for 40.

Walsh Brothers Blair and Kyle steadied the ship with an important 40-run partnership through the middle overs before Kade Povey once again anchored the middle order batting through until the 48th over, where he departed for a well-constructed 35.

With boundaries hard to come by, the home side finished with a competitive score of 9-210 from their 50 overs.

The bowling innings was under control from the first ball, with Matt Hanna getting two early wickets, dismissing both opening batters, leaving the Hawks at 2-9. A 38-run partnership saw the game even out before Luke Holt got the breakthrough, and Stewart Hepburn, on debut, dismissed the other set batter, seeing the visitors stumble to 4-47.

Holt ran through the middle and lower order, finishing with 5-24 from his ten overs. Zach Ferris closed out the game, taking the last two wickets to bowl Gosnells out for 110, securing a 99-run victory.

The Dragons secured a commanding victory, defeating Gosnells by 99 runs and winning across all four grades over the weekend.

2nd Grade continued their strong start to the season with another strong win, defeating Gosnells at Sutherlands Park by five wickets. Cameron Becker was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3-27 from his ten overs, two wickets for Lukas Debnam and captain Nic Geisler dismissing the home side for just 99 runs.

Alex Hepburn was the rock of the run chase, finishing with an unbeaten 43 runs. 3rd Grade chased down Gosnells 10-116 after Declan Crowder (3-28) and Akash Katakam (3-15) lead the bowling attack.

Liam Hindle continued his strong start to the season, finishing with 50* to ice the game. 4th Grade also continued their winning way, joining the 2nd and 3rd grade sides with three wins from 3 to start the season.

Willetton chased 108 for the loss of just two wickets, with Dulina Gamage (54) and Ethan Beatty (22) closing out the game for the boys.
The Dragons will now take on the Melville Storm in an away clash at Tompkins Park this Saturday.
