The sounds of bells ringing and carolers singing filled the air last Saturday at the City of Gosnells’ annual Jingle All the Way Christmas event.

A crowd of 15,000 people descended on Centennial Pioneer Park and marched along the 1.5-kilometre Christmas extravaganza trail, celebrating the festive season all the way to the Civic Centre Gardens.

Families enjoyed a variety of activities and entertainment along the trail, including live bands, traditional carols, and roving entertainers, all leading to a festive concert on the grass at the Civic Centre Gardens.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes described Jingle All the Way as one of her favourite events hosted by the City.

“It’s always lovely to see families and friends coming together to spread cheer and enjoy the great entertainment,” she said.

“There were many highlights for visitors this year, including Santa’s Toybox and Frosty’s Forest, photo opportunities, roving performers, carollers, a fantastic festive concert on the main stage and, of course, Mr and Mrs Claus themselves.”

There were craft activities, a bubble workshop, and a chance for kids to meet Santa’s helpers and write their own letter to Father Christmas.

Food trucks lined the trail, offering tasty bites, while Pudding Lane added sweet, festive treats to enjoy throughout the night.

The Christmas trail also gave the community a chance to walk along the banks of the Canning River and appreciate the beauty of the City of Gosnells.

The winners of the 2024 Safe City Christmas Lights Competition were also announced at the event.
