Three juveniles among four arrested in Canning car break-in bust

Four people have been charged by Cannington Police following an investigation into multiple thefts from motor vehicles in the suburbs of Bentley, Wilson, Cannington, and Shelley.

At around 9.20 am on Monday, December 16, police executed a search warrant at an address in Wilson, where they allegedly found various stolen items, including wallets, bank cards, and clothing.

Additionally, quantities of cannabis and methylamphetamine were located.

Subsequently, three juvenile males and one adult female were arrested at the home and charged with more than 30 offences.

Police say inquiries into the matter remain ongoing.

In a Facebook post, Cannington District Police said it was unfortunate that there may always be individuals in the community seeking opportunities to commit crimes.

“These people target parked cars, houses and garages to steal cash, credit cards and mobile phones,” the post said.

“We are succeeding in our everyday policing to identify and arrest people engaging in this type of behaviour, but there are things the community can do to assist us in lowering crime. Most importantly, lock up and don’t leave your valuables in sight.”

If you see anything or anyone acting suspicious, contact police on 131 444.
