Man charged after robbing Gosnells McDonald’s with knife

A man threatened staff with a large kitchen knife and stole cash from Gosnells McDonald's on Friday night, January 24.

A 37-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery after allegedly holding up Gosnells McDonald’s with a large kitchen knife late last Friday night.

Police say the man entered the McDonald’s in Gosnells, located on Albany Highway, adjacent to the Fremantle Road intersection, at around 11:30 pm on Friday, January 24.

He then proceeded to wield the large kitchen knife, threatening staff and demanding they hand over cash.

The man fled the scene with a small quantity of cash in hand before being arrested just a few hours later at 4 am in Gosnells.

The man charged was scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court last Saturday.
