A 19-year-old Thornlie man has been charged over an assault in Armadale that left an 18-year-old man with life threatening head injuries.
The assault allegedly happened about 1.10am on April 10 when a fight took place between two groups of males in Jull Street.
During the altercation the 18-year-old was allegedly knocked to the ground.
He received life threatening head injuries and has since undergone surgery in Royal Perth Hospital
A 17-year-old boy was also allegedly assaulted.
The 19-year-old man was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and grievous bodily harm.
He will appear before Armadale Magistrates Court today.
