The Armadale RSL Sub-Branch will be hosting a Community ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Memorial Park on Jull Street.
For the first time since 2019, a small march will precede the service, with veterans and family members wearing service medals asked to form up at the rear of the park by 5:45am. The service will begin at 6am.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and place a floral tribute if they wish, at the end of the service.
A Gunfire Breakfast and refreshments will be available at the RSL following the event.
Meanwhile, up the hill, the Bedfordale CWA will be hosting their second ANZAC Day Dawn Service for all the community to attend at the Churchman Brook Community Centre, Waterwheel Road, with the service beginning at 5.55am.
The service will pay a special tribute to past Bedfordale residents who served in WW1 and WW2 and sacrificed their lives for their country.
Bacon and egg rolls, tea and coffee will be available after the service for a gold coin donation. Further merchandise will be available for purchase on the day (Eftpos will be available as a payment method).
If you do live locally, please walk or bike to the event as parking will be at a premium. People wishing to attend are asked to indicate that on the Bedfordale CWA Facebook event page for catering purposes.
