It’s been an eyesore on the Cannington streetscape for decades but the stained concrete
Telstra exchange building at 1331 Albany Highway was set to get a colourful overhaul.
The City of Canning has been in discussions with Telstra since the beginning of the year to ‘beautify’ the building with a mural.
Artist Leanne Bray was chosen by the selection committee to complete the work.
The mural will feature colourful repeated geometric patterns, which Ms Bray said would compliment the geometry of the building.
The mural would cost $27,500 to complete.
It was expected to be finished by September.
