A man has died following a horrific crash in Byford yesterday.
The crash happened just after midday when a Mitsubishi truck travelling west on Abernethy Road collided with a Mitsubishi Starwagon at the intersection of Hopkinson Road.
The 40-year-old male passenger in the Starwagon died as a result of his injuries.
It was the second fatal crash at the intersection in less than a year.
In October last year a 20-year-old man died following a crash at the intersection while two other men travelling in the same Holden Commodore sedan received serious injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 62-year-old man, was also injured.
A woman was injured at the intersection in March this year after her car collided with a truck.
