The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale volunteer fire brigade will escort Santa Claus as part of their annual Santa runs.

All brigades will conduct a sleigh run provided they have not been called to a bushfire.

Santa’s first visit will be through Hopeland from 6pm to 10pm on December 10.

He will also travel through Keysbrook on the same day between 5.30pm and 8pm.

Santa will visit Serpentine between 1.30pm and 5pm on December 17 and Mundijong can expect a visit on the same day between 10am and 8pm.

He will also ride through Jarrahdale between 3pm and 6pm, Oakford between 12.30pm and 7pm and Byford between 1pm and 5pm on December 18.

Shire president John Erren said the Santa Runs brought a little bit of magic to the shire each year.

“Its spreads Christmas cheer to the children and their families in our community,” he said.

“It’s a Christmas tradition we all look forward to.”
