History was created by the Gosnells Hawks Football Club when father and son Nathan and Ethan Hansen took the field in the West Australian Amateur Football League.
On June 3 Mr Hansen and his 16-year-old son Ethan represented Gosnells Hawks in their game against Warnbro Swans.
It was the first recorded time a father and son have represented the club in the same game.
Club historian and statistician George Leathley said he could not recall this happening since records were kept from the 1950s.
