A special High Tea was held at Challis Community School on Tuesday, May 4 for the girls in Year four, five and six and their mums or mother figures.
The event had a theme of ‘I am me, I am beautiful’ to empower the girls and women in the room to understand the importance of being true to themselves.
Special guest speaker Louise O’Reilly made a passionate address about the importance of breaking out of the box that people are often put into based on stereotypes.
The High Tea included activities for the girls, lots of food and beautiful china teacups.
Various members of the staff at Challis Community School and volunteers put a lot of work into the day.
