There was plenty of chatter at St Aidan’s Community Centre earlier this month as a group of seniors met for an informative morning tea event.
The free event on August 12 was hosted by the Anglican Parish of Serpentine Jarrahdale and was supported by the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.
Water Corporation’s community education officer Tammy Wynne spoke to about 30 residents about the importance of attracting birds with a waterwise garden.
The free seniors morning tea events are held at the centre on the corner of Clifton and Mary streets in Byford on the second Monday of every month from 10.30am to 12noon.
