Byford and Districts Country Club car park was packed full of cars from a different era last weekend as the local car club met for their monthly catch up.

Byford Classic Car Club members and locals alike came to admire the craftsmanship and elegance of many vehicles from yesteryear, including a well-kept 1959 Morris Minor and a sparkling 1979 Trans Am.

Club President Norm Fowler said the monthly meet and greet was a huge success with the bonus of perfect spring weather making it the perfect day out.

“We had everything from GT Falcons, classic hot rods, two motorbikes and a 1948 Ford F100 pick-up,” he said.

“Now that the weather is improving the club will soon start doing a few more cruises and other outings.”

The club meets once a month, usually on Sundays, at the Byford and Districts Country Club and is always welcoming new members.
