About 50 people gathered at ANZAC Memorial Park in Byford on Monday to pay their respects to those who have lost their lives in all wars, conflicts and peace operations.
The Remembrance Day service was hosted by the Serpentine Jarrahdale RSL sub branch and was led by president Shana Smith.
Mrs Smith said the event attracted a great turnout ranging from children, Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale council staff, community members and service veterans.
“It is important to pay our respect and gratitude for the freedom of lifestyle we now have thanks to the courage and sacrifice of our forefathers,” she said.
