Former Huntingdale resident Bradley Edwards appeared at the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court this morning.
Mr Edwards, 48 has been accused of murdering Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon and the rape of a 17-year-old girl and an act of indecent assault dating back to the 90s.
The alleged Claremont killer appeared via video link from Hakea prison wearing a green t-shirt and glasses.
During the brief hearing Mr Edwards sat quietly with his head bent forwards, rarely looking up and often twiddling his thumbs.
More than 30 members of the public and press gathered in the courtroom with Magistrate Jan Whitbread presiding.
State prosecutor Carmel Barbagallo requested an eight-week adjournment to provide documents to Mr Edward’s lawyer and for his lawyer to receive further instruction from him.
Mr Edwards remained in custody and will appear in court on March 29.
