Alleged ‘Claremont Killer’ Bradley Edwards appeared at the Stirling Gardens Magistrate Court this morning via videolink from Hakea Prison on charges of murder.
The 48-year-old former Gosnells resident appeared unemotional as he had his charges read to him and declined to plea.
Mr Edwards faces eight charges including the murders of Jane Rimmer in 1996 and Ciara Glennon in 1997.
He was also charged with the indecent assault of an 18-year-old woman following a break-in into her Huntingdale home in 1988.
Mr Edwards was asked by the court if he understood the charges and he answered with a ‘yes.’
His defence lawyer Genevieve Cleary said Mr Edwards did not want to enter a plea yet and prosecutor Carmel Barbagallo asked for the matter to return to court for a committal hearing.
Magistrate Danielle Davies adjourned the case until October 25.
