The Roleystone Hall was packed full of zombies, grim reapers, bats, skeletons and witches last Saturday night for a disco like no other.

Hosted by the Roleystone Scouts, the children’s Halloween disco had a great turnout with about 150 people showing up to support the group’s second annual event.

Organiser Veronica Smit said more and more residents in the Roleystone community were interested in participating in family-friendly Halloween events in the neighbourhood.

“We had a great DJ and a scary tent with mystery bowls for the children to try treats such as dead hands, ghost poo, worms, moving spiders, trick or treat bowls, Frankenstein pieces, witches warts, wizard ears and sticky eyeballs,” she said.

“We also had prizes for best dressed and games for all to enjoy.”

Ms Smit said the event was organised by an amazing group of mothers who spent many hours planning and preparing to make the night a huge success.

“We also could not have provided the community such an awesome night if it wasn’t for our fantastic sponsors, who included Roleystone Real Estate, Bendigo Bank, Woolworths Kelmscott which supplied all of the food and drinks and other donations from IGA Roleystone, Big W and Lombards,” she said.

“The feedback so far is that everyone had a great night.”
