Can you find the golden golf ball?

This April, buying a bucket of balls at the Whaleback Driving Range could see golfers walk away with an invitation to an exclusive golfing event – and a one-in-ten chance of winning a brand-new set of Mizuno golf clubs, valued at $1800.

Like a golfing version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Whaleback has begun randomly placing golden golf balls into the Whaleback ball dispensing system.

Over the month of April, 10 golden balls will be fed into the machines that are located on the upper and lower levels of the Whaleback Driving Range.

Golfers who find a golden ball in their bucket of range balls will receive an exclusive invitation to play in the Whaleback Golden Ball Playoff, where they will hit one shot – with their golden ball – to a virtual golf hole.

The shot that ends nearest to the hole will win a brand-new set of Mizuno JPX 923 irons.

The Golden Ball Playoff will take place on Saturday 27 April at 10.30am, and all 10 participating golfers will receive a prize, valued between $100 and $1,800, based on their golden ball shot.
