Armadale creatives are getting ready to paint the town red at one of the most highly anticipated events on the local arts calendar.

The Armadale Art Society (ASA) will throw open the doors of the District Hall next weekend for the 37th Annual Awards Exhibition.

And this year promises to be an extraordinary event, showcasing the diverse works of its members across all mediums and genres.

This exhibition is not just about viewing art; it’s an immersive experience. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy live painting demonstrations, where talented artists will share their techniques and inspirations.

Visitors will also be able to engage in conversations with the artists and gain insights into their creative processes.

The Annual Awards Exhibition is a testament to the vibrant and dynamic art scene the society is proud to foster.

The exhibition will feature many multi-award-winning artists, whose works have been recognized for their excellence.

Additionally, the society is excited to welcome first-time exhibitors, offering a fresh perspective and new voices in the art community.

And a special highlight this year is the inclusion of youth members, aged 12 to 17. For the first time, these young artists will showcase their remarkable talents and be part of the Awards.

Their participation marks a significant milestone for ASA, reflecting its commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists.

One of the unique aspects of ASA’s exhibition is that the society does not take any commissions on artworks sold.

This means all proceeds go directly to the artists, helping to keep the artworks at an affordable price.

To make the visit even more enjoyable, members will be serving delicious homemade scones and muffins during morning and afternoon teas.

It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, savour some treats, and appreciate the art.

Join ASA for a day of artistic celebration, community, and inspiration on either Saturday, November 2, or Sunday, November 3, from 10am to 4pm at the Armadale District Hall, Jull Street.
