Arson Squad detectives are appealing to the public for information with regards to a house fire in Armadale last week that caused about $200,000 damage.

The fire at the Sixth Road property was first reported to authorities just after 8pm on February 21.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said the fire at the single-storey home was under control at 9.20pm thanks to the efforts of emergency services from Armadale, Maddington and Osborne Park.

There was no one at home at the time of the incident and the fire has since been deemed suspicious and is now in the hands of police.

The Examiner previously reported on three house fires in Armadale, which occurred over a 24-hour period on January 18 and 19.

Out of the three fires, two were deemed deliberate with damage bills of up to $200,000 damage.

Anyone with information in relation to the Sixth Road fire is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist
