Mr Jorgensen authored the well-known book In Flanders Fields.

A well-known Western Australian author is heading to the City of Armadale Library to deliver a workshop tonight.

From 6pm until 7.45pm multi-award-winning author Norman Jorgensen will visit the Inklings Writers’ Workshop at Armadale Library.

Mr Jorgensen will provide attendees with insight into his journey as a writer and provide writing tips.

He is one of WA’s most versatile writers for young people and has published 12 books, most of which are set in WA.

Some of his famous works include In Flanders Fields, The Last Viking and Jack’s Island.

Born in Broome, Mr Jorgensen moved to Kalamunda as a child and now lives near Perth city.

He is a history buff whose passion shines through in his writing.

Inklings Writers’ Workshop is a group open to writers of any genre, who explore the craft, give and receive feedback and support each other with their writing goals.

Tickets will be $5 for Inklings Writers’ Workshop members and $10 for non-members.
