Artisan stalls, food trucks, a silent disco, live entertainment and a massive chocolate cake were all key parts of the celebrations for a local market on the weekend.

Bedfordale Bush Markets celebrated its fourth birthday with a special twilight market at the grounds of Southern Hills Christian College last Saturday.

Bedfordale Connect Incorporated president and events organiser Liz Reed said the markets were a huge success with hundreds of people passing through during the five-hour event.

“We were delighted to welcome Member for Darling Range Alyssa Hayden, Member for Armadale Tony Buti, Member for the East Metropolitan Region Matt Swinbourn and his wife Glenda and councillor Gary Smith to help us celebrate our fourth birthday, as well as retired mayor Henry Zelones and his wife,” she said.

“We are very grateful to the City of Armadale for their ongoing support of our markets, which helps us to keep going, for our politicians who turn up to support us and for our great team of helpers on the day without whom our job would be so much harder.”

The next Bedfordale Bush Market will be held on March 28, 2020 and will have a health and wellbeing theme.
