Breaking | Police investigating serious crash in Mundijong

Two women have been taken to hospital following a crash between a jeep and a horse-drawn buggy.

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating the incident that occurred in Mundijong today.

Around 12pm, a 65-year-old woman driver and a 30-year-old female passenger were travelling in a horse-drawn buggy, travelling north on Soldiers Road near Norman Road.

At the same time, a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 30-year-old woman, was also travelling north on Soldiers Road behind the buggy.

For unknown reasons the Jeep has collided with the buggy.

The driver and passenger in the buggy were both seriously injured and are currently being treated in Royal Perth Hospital.

The driver of the jeep was uninjured.
