The Roleystone Tigers hosted a local derby with the undefeated Kelmscott Bulldogs making the climb up the hill as a big crowd overlooked the game.

Even for the small oval, it was a low scoring game; each team had only one goal each at half time.

At the third quarter, the Bulldogs had woken up, and pounced over their opposition, kicking five goals against a scoreless Tiger’s team.

Anna Shae Michael kicked two for the bulldogs, while one goal each went to Rachael Desira, Hayley McHenry, Samantha Shephard and Captain Louise Knitter.

Roleystone 1.2 (8) defeated by top of the ladder Kelmscott 6.5 (42).

Reserves

The Kelmscott Reserves team finally got their win, after a big game against the Forrestfield Rhinos.

Young Ruckman Malakye Hansen dominated the ruck and centre all game, aided by mids Brayden Thorne (with one goal), Kaylan Hayward (with two goals), Robert Turner and Brayden Davey.

Malakye’s dad, Graham Hansen, was the team’s general in full back against a tough opponent.

It was the run off the centre half back from Noah Assam that gave the drive down the field, ensuring three goals for Jason Green and two for Calvin Davis.

The return of Brendan Edwards (who kicked one goal), Aaron Crainwhite and Kriss Clampett also made a great impact.

Forrestfield 4.10 (34) defeated by Kelmscott 10.15 (75).

Forrestfield League 5.5 (35) defeated by Kelmscott 13.18 (96)

All Abilities

All Abilities played a cracker at home with a goal for goal game with Curtin Uni.

Bulldogs player Josh Thompson kicked his 50th career goal, and celebrated by passing a third opportunity off to teammate Warren Gregson.
