Fifteen-year-old Patric Fitzi would like nothing more than to continue to hone his skills in tennis, ice hockey and football but he needs your help.
The Byford Secondary College student and Mundijong youth was born without his left hand and has so far succeeded in life overcoming all obstacles in his path.
But he is now hoping the wider community can dig deep and support his goal of getting a prosthetic hand professionally made and fitted.
Patric said he has coped well with just one hand up until now but he would now like to experience life like everyone else.
“I’m hoping to achieve new things and make life a bit simpler with extra help,” he said.
“At the moment I’m not too sure when or where I will purchase this bionic hand because it is quite hard to find an affordable price on the Internet but I have found a hospital in Melbourne that has experts that are doing this type of stuff.
“The bionic hand will most likely be made of carbon fibre or some sort of metal but it depends what type of hand you get.”
Patric decided to turn to crowd finding website GoFundMe to gather the necessary funds needed to bring his dream to reality.
He has so far raised more than $1900 and hopes to raise a total of $5000.
