Salvado Catholic College celebrated the end of its foundation year with its Christmas carols concert on November 30.
More than 250 people attended the concert and Salvado Catholic College principal Santino Giancono said it was also a time to reflect on Jesus being the reason for the season.
“There was a wonderful sense of community spirit,” he said.
“We all came together to share the story of Jesus’s birth and reflect on it.”
Mr Giancono said he was amazed at the attendance numbers.
“There was a picnic on the grass for all the families,” he said.
“We had parents, siblings, grandparents and Father Kaz, the parish priest from St Francis Xavier came out.”
Mr Giancono said kindergarten to year two students participated in the concert.
“We had the pre-primary students lead the nativity play and all the year groups sang songs throughout it,” he said.
“Kindy sang Little Donkey, the year two’s sang We Three Kings and the year one’s sang Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
“The students were wonderful.”
