Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding star in Last Christmas.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with the most recent film directed by Paul Feig called Last Christmas.

Most people relate Christmas to snow and the scenery of a white cold London won’t disappoint viewers as the film is full of bright colours and light.

Last Christmas is a romantic-comedy starring British actors Emilia Clarke as Kate and Henry Golding as Tom and includes appearances by Michelle Yeoh playing Kate’s boss and Emma Thompson as Kate’s Yugoslavian mother.

This enjoyable Christmas movie takes a different path from other holiday movies as the twist ending will surprise most of you.

The film is based on the life of Kate, a 26-year-old woman who is struggling to achieve her goals to become a professional singer.

However, in the search for success she appears as a character who has failed to make the right choices in life and is now paying the price.

As the movie develops Kate meets Tom, a mysterious but intriguing man who finds an undeniable interest for Kate yet we are unable to find out where he comes from and what he does.

Forget about magic though and forget about the real Santa and his elves because although the movie has the perfect Christmas ambience it touches on some real and melancholic scenarios that can only be fixed with the late George Michael’s music playing in the background.

The best way to watch this film is to bring tissues, gingerbread cookies and a nice warm drink to get you ready for the Last Christmas.
