The Byford Bushrangers will be raising funds later this month for their upcoming tee-ball season with a highly anticipated quiz night at the Byford Trotting Complex.
Club president Ramone Glasgow said she hoped the club would raise enough money to get the players to state championships later this year.
“The aim of the night will be to raise funds for our upcoming tee-ball season,” she said.
“Hopefully this will help offset the costs of the clubs involvement in the state championships and pre-state carnivals.”
Ms Glasgow said the Byford Bushrangers were reaching out to businesses and residents in the community to aid the club in their efforts to raise funds.
“We are looking for people to donate goods and services,” she said.
“Also gift vouchers or anything similar which can be used as prizes on the night.”
Ms Glasgow said the night would also include a silent auction, table and individual games and lots of fun.
“This is all to help take the Bushrangers to the state championships,” she said.
Westfield resident Brett Wilson said the fundraiser was a great idea.
“Both my sons are heavily involved in tee-ball and baseball,” he said.
“Especially my youngest one, he’s been playing it for a long time.”
Mr Wilson said it was great the community was coming together to raise funds for the Byford Bushrangers.
“I know how hard it is to fund something like the state championships.
“It takes a lot of people coming together to make that happen but I honestly think if the community rallies together they can do it.”
