He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with critical injuries, where he later died.
The 22-year-old driver of the Toyota Hilux was uninjured.
The road was closed for several hours while police investigated.

Police chase ends in rollover
A wild police chase through Byford and Armadale has ended in a dramatic rollover on Seville Drive.
Road Policing Group South arrested the 30-year-old male driver at the scene on Saturday.
It all started around 3.30pm when the Leda man allegedly stole a red Haval station sedan from an address in Baldivis.
Police spotted the stolen car on Mears Road in Parmelia just after 5pm, and switched on their emergency lights and sirens to indicate for the driver to stop.
Police are alleging the man failed to stop and began to speed recklessly away.
Police Air Wing tracked the red station sedan as it travelled through surrounding suburbs including, Byford, Armadale and Seville Grove, colliding with and damaging vehicles during the rampage.
The Haval rolled on the corner of Seville Drive and Braemore Street in Armadale after crashing into another vehicle.
The single occupant of that vehicle was assessed by St. John WA but thankfully required no medical attention.
After police arrested the 30-year-old driver of the Haval, he was charged with stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving to escape pursuit by police, failure to comply with direction to stop, and driving on a suspended licence.
He will face court tomorrow in Rockingham.
