Police are asking for public support after an overnight fire at a Bentley shopping centre.

At about 1.45am on November 16 Department of Fire and Emergency Services requested police assistance at a fire at the Bentley Plaza Shopping Centre on Albany Highway.

Officers arrived and diverted traffic from the area.

The centre was still blocked off this morning.

Police have not yet determined the cause of the fire, but arson squad detectives examined the area this morning.
