A new shuttle bus service to Araluen Botanic Park will begin later this month in conjunction with the City of Armadale.
Between August 19 and September 25 the service will run from the Armadale and Kelmscott train stations and the Armadale Hills Visitor Centre to the botanic park.
It will run every day except Tuesdays leaving the station at 10.30am and departing Araluen at 1.30pm.
Mayor Henry Zelones said the service would allow visitors to easily visit the park.
“This is the first year in the event’s history that Araluen has offered a shuttle bus service,” he said.
“In previous years the only option was for visitors to drive to the park.
“During the tulip season Araluen is in such high demand that traffic around the area gets busy, meaning traffic management plans need to be in place on the weekends.
“This fantastic initiative will allow visitors to enjoy a relaxing day without worrying about traffic and parking.”
The shuttle will cost $10 per person and bookings were essential via araluenbotanicpark.com.au or email at events@araluenbotanicpark.com.au.
