The incident took place at a house on Ensing Dale, Kelmscott.

A man is dead and a woman is in hospital with serious injuries after an alleged violent family altercation in Kelmscott this morning.

Police attended a Ensign Dale home at around 7.10am on April 27, where they found a man and a woman in their 70s with serious injuries and were taken to hospital.

The man later died, while the woman remains in hospital.

Police are currently speaking to a man in his 40s regarding the incident, who is being treated with an injury he sustained before the arrest.

Roads around Frye Park are currently closed, including Ensign Dale, Connell Avenue between Melody Street and Lucich Street and Clifton Street between Gilwell Avenue and Lucich Street.
