Major Crash Investigators are appealing for witnesses to a horrifying Albany Highway crash that resulted in the death of an elderly man.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Albany Highway and McIntyre Way in Kenwick at 11.55am on Monday November 8, when a white Daihatsu Syrion driven by a 94-year-old man collided with a red Holden Berlina driven by a 47-year-old man.
Three fire and rescue crews from Canning Vale and Maddington rushed to the scene, with the elderly man trapped in the wreckage of his car.
He was transported by St John Ambulance under lights and sirens to Royal Perth Hospital with critical injuries, where he later died.
The 47-year-old man was treated at the scene for minor injuries by ambulance officers.
