Major Crash Investigators are appealing for information following a crash in Martin that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old boy.
The victim was a passenger in a red Mitsubishi Magna sedan that was travelling south on Tonkin Highway at around 1:40 AM last Thursday morning when it lost control and struck a tree near Gosnells Road East.
The 19-year-old male driver was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, while another 19-year-old male passenger escaped uninjured.
Tragically, the 17-year-old passenger sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, saw the vehicle in the area prior to the incident, or may have dash-cam or mobile phone footage related to the crash to come forward.
