It was a case of fourth time lucky in Thornlie when one lucky punter won $1.5 million in the Saturday Super Draw on February 10.
Newsagency manager Danny Khetani took over the agency in March 2015 and by June of that year Mr Khetani received news that one of this customers was an instant millionaire.
He said the winnings had not stopped there for the lucky newsagency.
“We had one Saturday division one winner of $1 million in June 2015, then again in March 2017 we had another division one winner, then we had a winner in July of 2017,” he said.
“We thought surely the winning streak cannot go on but then a couple of weeks ago we found out we had yet another Saturday Division One winner.”
The lucky lotto player bought a combo pack with a Slikpik in it for the February 10 Super Draw making it the fourth Saturday Division One winner who took home $1.5 million of the $21 million on offer in that draw.
There were 14 winners with three of those in WA.
Mr Khetani said he felt lucky.
“If people don’t win then most people don’t mind because they know the money is going back into the community,” he said.
“We are just lucky I think and have four lucky Buddhas here.
“To have achieved four Division One winners in less than three years is considered lucky indeed.”
The next Saturday Super Draw will be held on March 24 with a prize draw of $20 million.
